Important Announcements

• The Village of Sugar Mountain is seeking bids from qualified contractors to perform Hurricane Helene repairs to Timber Ridge Road. The purpose of this project is to repair Timber Ridge Road to pre-disaster condition.

Project Description

The project will include, but is not limited to:

• Asphalt milling, removal, and replacement
• Placement, grading, and compaction of base materials
• Pavement resurfacing and patching
• Repair or reconstruction of road shoulders and side slopes
• Removal, installation, and/or replacement of drainage structures, including culverts, ditches, and storm drains
• Erosion control and stabilization as required
• Provision and maintenance of traffic control measures consistent with NCDOT and MUTCD standards
• Other roadway repair services as may be specified

 Bid Submission Guidelines

Interested parties must submit their bids using the Unit Rate Sheet provided no later than January 6, 2026 at 3:00 pm to: Susan Phillips Village Manager manager.finance@seesugar.com. Late submissions will not be considered.

Bid Requirements

Each bid must include the following:

1. The completed Unit Rate Sheet from Exhibit B of the attached contract.
2. Proof of insurance and licensure
3. Proof of ability to provide Performance Bond
4. Evaluation Criteria

Bids that satisfy the insurance, licensure, and provide proof of ability to provide the Performance Bond requirements will then be evaluated based on the following:

Pre-Bid Site Visit

A mandatory site visit will be held on December 22, 2025 at 1:00 pm at 201 Dick Trundy Rd, Sugar Mountain. Contractors will have the opportunity to inspect the site and ask questions.
